Most studios won't publish their prices. We do. We'd rather you knew, before you ring, whether we're the right shop for your driveway.

§ 01Why we publish
Because a good gate costs real money, and we'd rather talk to people who know that going in. The prices below are accurate to ±10% for standard specifications. Anything outside standard is quoted individually — always in writing, always fixed-price.

Entry

£8,500 – £14,000
A single swing gate or short cantilever slider with above-ground motor, powder-coated steel, standard control system. Good for a modest drive where automation is the main goal.

Mid

£14,000 – £28,000

Estate

Large estate entrances, bespoke design, hand-forged ironwork, ANPR, brick or stone pier construction, full access management. Each project is quoted individually.

§ 03What affects the number

Eight things that move the price.

Gate width
The biggest single variable. Every extra metre adds material, motor load and labour.
Material
Wrought iron costs 30–40% more than mild steel. Hardwood panels add 15–20%.
Motor type
Underground rams cost £800–£1,400 more than above-ground per leaf, including groundwork.
Pier construction
New brick piers: £1,200–£2,800 per pier depending on specification and height.
Control system
ANPR adds £1,200–£1,800. Video intercom adds £600–£900. App control: included.
Finish
Standard gloss or satin: included. Metallic or specialist RAL: £180 supplement.
Design complexity
Bespoke finials, gothic arching or custom motifs are priced individually at the drawing stage.
Distance from workshop
Travel included within 25 miles. Beyond, quoted at £0.60/mile plus accommodation if required.

No two driveways are the same. The price for your gate depends on your specific combination of width, material, motor, pier condition and control system. The only accurate number is the one we write after seeing your drive in person.
